Giving Back to Build Stronger Communities
At Mattex, we believe our responsibility goes beyond heating, cooling, plumbing, sewer, and electrical—we're here to make a difference. That's why we created Mattex Cares, our community-focused program dedicated to giving back, supporting local organizations, and serving our neighbors in meaningful ways.
Through sponsorships, donations, volunteer work, and outreach programs, our team actively partners with causes that align with our values, including police & military veteran support, local shelters, youth programs, and community events. From initiatives like One Winter Night with CU at Home to our annual Police & Veterans Giveaway, we're proud to stand behind the people who make our communities strong.
Veteran's Giveaway
Mattex Service's Annual Veterans Day Giveaway honors local veterans by giving back to those who have served our country. Community members are invited to nominate a deserving veteran and their family to receive a brand-new furnace at no cost. The winning recipient will also receive professional system installation and one year of free furnace maintenance, helping ensure their home stays safe and comfortable through the winter. Nominations open November 11th, 2026, and are accepted through May 14, 2027. The winner will be announced on Friday, May 28, 2027.
How to Nominate:
If you know a veteran who deserves this gift, we encourage you to submit a nomination using the form on this page.
Thank you for joining us in honoring those who served!
It extends into the communities we proudly call home through support, service, and compassion.
Supporting a New Home for the Piatt County Animal Shelter
Founded in 2007, the Piatt County Animal Shelter has dedicated nearly two decades to rescuing, caring for, and finding loving homes for animals throughout the community. Now, the shelter is expanding with a new 5,000-square-foot facility designed to provide a safer, healthier, and more comfortable environment for animals, volunteers, and future adopters.
Mattex Service is proud to support this important project by donating an American Standard HVAC system to help maintain a comfortable, climate-controlled space for animals year-round.
We are honored to play a small role in helping the Piatt County Animal Shelter continue its mission of providing compassion, care, and second chances to animals in need.
Standing with Survivors
At Mattex Service, we're proud to support the fighters, honor the survivors, and remember the loved ones impacted by breast cancer. Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we stand alongside our community to help raise awareness, encourage early detection, and celebrate the incredible strength of those whose lives have been touched by this disease.
Join Us at Celebrating Survivors
We're honored to be a sponsor of Celebrating Survivors on October 10 in Champaign—an inspiring event dedicated to recognizing breast cancer survivors, supporting those currently in treatment, and bringing our community together for a day of hope, encouragement, and celebration. We look forward to seeing you on October 10 as we celebrate survivors and continue the fight against breast cancer together.
