Our Company
Sixteen years ago while working long and hard for a mechanical company here in our community, Matt Linsner had the insight to look beyond the everyday work to a vision of what a truly viable company can achieve. With that in mind, when the opportunity arose to purchase the assets of that company, he took that risk. Matt knew that he would need others with energy, knowledge and expertise to take this company from a vision to a reality. He definitely had the education as well as eleven years in the field to make his vision become real.
Matt chose a well-respected and trusted friend to partner with him achieving the goals and dreams of this company which they began in 1994. Together they earned the trusted confidence of a local company that invested in their vision. The two later invited Mike Nichelson to join the partnership.
The company that these three men have built is based on honesty, integrity and fairness to all. Mattex Service Company works diligently to offer continuous training for our technicians. Professional and courteous service is a must and Mattex knows that attention to detail is what our clients require.
Over the years Mattex has grown to be a viable company of that first vision with a positive presence in our community. We strive for continued growth in excellence for all of our residential and commercial clients. You can be confident with the Mattex 100% satisfaction guarantee that we offer every client. Our Community
Mattex Service Company is involved in the Champaign County community. In May of 2010 we were honored to participate in the 18th Annual Kids' Building Fair which is put on by the Orpheum Chidlren's Science Museum in downtown Champaign. The fair is designed to celebrate Historic Preservation Week by giving children an educational and entertaining introduction to the building trades involved in preserving historic structures. The Orpheum Children's Science Museum is one of those structures. The building fair provides children with the opportunity to learn about and participate in a wide variety of activities with opportunities to build, plant, play and experiment with different hilding trade and construction tools and techniques.
Mattex represented "Plumbing City" with two learning and interactive displays for the children. At one table the children could construct whatever they wished with an array of PVC pipes and connections. They were quite creative and proud of their work. Mattex had another table in which we allowed the children to learn how water can move objects. It contained a water wheel as well as an opportunity to place a small ball in an open PVC pipe which ran through a maze of twists and turns. All of the excess water was squirted out of a tall pipe with a sump pump. One child exclaimed, "I'm 16 years old and I even like this!"
The Mattex Team enjoys particpating in our community's growth. The repeated visits to our "Plumbing City" by the children and their parents let us know that we were on target. We plan to have a bigger and more educational interactive display in the coming years. |
